Our Story
Teresa, John & Harry
We didn’t start a leather business with a spreadsheet or a grand plan. We started it the way good things usually begin, by wanting to spend more time together and by noticing that our hands were happiest when they were making something real.
Some couples love each other. We do too. But we also like each other. We like long conversations that wander, shared jokes that don’t need explaining, and the quiet comfort of working side by side without filling every moment with words. Leather became our common language. One of us would cut, the other would stitch, and somewhere between the smell of hide and the steady rhythm of tools, the days began to feel fuller.
And we’re never working alone. Harry, our golden retriever, is always with us in the shop. He’s our constant companion, shop supervisor, and unofficial break manager. He makes sure we pause, stretch our legs, and step outside when the work gets too absorbing. Every good workshop needs a heartbeat, and ours has four legs and a wagging tail.
The shop grew the way friendships grow. Slowly, with trust. A table here. A new tool there. Designs that started as sketches and ended up becoming pieces someone else would carry into their own life. Each bag, wallet, or strap held a small echo of us, our patience, our laughter, and the care we put into getting it just right.
What surprised us most was the joy of making things for people we might never meet. Knowing that something we created together would be worn, used, loved. That creativity could travel. That craftsmanship could connect strangers.
This business isn’t just about leather. It’s about choosing each other every day. About building something with our hands and our hearts. About love, yes, but also about liking the person across the workbench, even when the stitches go crooked, the coffee gets cold, and Harry decides it’s time for another break. 🧵✨🐶
